Baby’s First Christmas at Babies-R-Us

Yesterday was the Baby’s First Christmas Event at Babies-R-Us for Marina’s age group so my friend, Jessica and I bundled her up and headed out for a morning of fun and a lunch date.

Marina loved spending time with the other babies. She has been shying away from people lately, so I think the events are a good way for her to get some social MarinaXmas2time in with other people.

Again the event didn’t last long but it was so worth going just to see how much fun Marina had.  We had pictures taken, made hand print ornaments, and had story time. They gave 4 prizes away for this event and Marina actually won a prize. She won “The Night Before Christmas” board book 🙂

Each of the babies were given a goody bag with a bottle of  Gerber Goodstart ready to feed formula, a sample package of of Gerber cereal with sweet potatoes and apples, a highlights book, a coupon for $1.00 off any 2 Gerber baby foods, and a Highlights magazine subscription card.

MarinaXmas5I also did a little shopping for some stuff that Marina needed. I Picked her up a winter coat, 2 pairs of pajamas- Carter’s were B1G1 Free -, a sweatshirt, and a pair of pants. I also had coupons for a free package of BRU Christmas diapers, free Dr. Brown’s Christmas Bottle, and  free Happytot apple, peach, pumpkin and cinnamon baby food pouch. Unfortunately they were out of the MarinaXmas6Dr. Brown’s bottles but I did get the package of diapers and the food pouch.

After all of the event fun and shopping, Jessica and I took Marina out to lunch at one of my favorite restaurants. They have a huge fish tank with all kinds of saltwater fish. She loved looking at them.  She is such a good eater and really enjoyed having fresh avocado with her lunch. She is also a little flirt 🙂 She was more focused on our waiter than she was on eating. Every time he walked past she tried to get his attention.

Marina had such a great time and I will definitely watch out for more in store events at Babies-R-Us.
